Puddin 'N Pie: The Magic Dog Who Lives Down Candy Lane
This is the story of Jimmy, a young boy who lives in the country with his parents and grandparents who have a farm. Jimmy has asked for a dog, but his parents tell him that he isn't ready for the responsibility of caring for a dog. You have to feed, brush, exercise and train a dog. It's a big responsibility. Jimmy yearns for a dog. One day, on his way walking to school, he sees a sign post that says Candy Lane. Having never seen it before, his curiosity takes him down the lane where he meets a magical dog named Puddin 'N Pi. He has one crooked ear, big brown eyes and he can talk! After secretly visiting Pi every day over a period of time, Jimmy's life soon changes.
Children love magical stories, and this teaches work ethic, learning responsibility and love. There is also a song about Puddin 'N Pi that goes with the story and the lyrics included at the end of the book. A QR code to a YouTube video of the song is provided in the book so the reader can sing along.
